I have cf and have had 3 children(1 set of twin boys and then a daughter). We did ICSI, which is a form of IVF. The costs were covered by our insurance with the exception of a percentage out of pocket but that is because in MA it is required that insurance cover infertility. It took a few tries(and a couple surgeries for me) to have the twins and then the first try for our daughter. There is also a website run by Julie(she is a member on this site) that details the male cf infertility. If you have any questions you can pm me. Best of luck.

My ex husband and I did a NON SURGICAL SPERM RETRIEVAL (MUCH cheaper than MESA or TESA sperm retrieval), and then IVF with IUI. We transfered two embryo's and one split, and we ended up with triplets. They are now 4 and are the joys of our lives.

I have a website, cysticfibrosismaleinfertility.com and am MORE than happy to answer any questions you might have about the procedures and costs. Id rather discuss the details off the forum though, email me services@dafcf.org

also check out the "inciid from the heart" scholarship for IVF on www.inciid.org It's about a 1 year processing time so apply ASAP and be 100% honest about everything! We were acutally selected but I was already pregnant by that time. If you need help with your application and personal story, I'm more than happy to share a copy of mine with you

Hi, I am also a spouse of a husband with CF. We will be looking into children soon. I read a post once of another spouse who has a husband with cf and she gave her blog. They have had twin girls through invitro. When I feel scared or worried about this, I look at her blog. It is so inspiring! I think having twin girls would just be Amazing! If you would like to have the web address for it, let me know!

mmm89, are you talking about Hannah's blog? If you are, she and I became friends through this site and she flew to WA and used the same Reproductive Endocronologist we did. I have 4 year old triplets and she has 2+ year old twins.

If any of you ladies have specific questions, I'm an open book so feel free to ask away or you can email me privately
