Hypertonic saline

I had my full PFTs today for the first time in ages. In one month (I had the basic PFTs done then), without doing anything differently except hypertonic saline, my numbers have improved -- only slightly, but I've been sitting on the same numbers for years now. Could be a coincidence, but I'm definitely not complaining!

My FEV1 went up 4% and my FVC went up 9%.

The test also showed no asthma markers which I have had previously, but those tests haven't been done in quite a few years so I can't really tell if anything's changed in the past month.

What kind of improvements have other people seen when starting HTS, if any?

That's awesome, but I can't say I ever used hypertonic saline. All that i do is the vest in the morning along with albuterol/atrovent, and the vest at night. Reading some of these threads, and some people's rigourous routines they employ just to live a decent quality of life is amazing. I can't believe I'm as healthy as I am and got by for so long on the little that I do to maintain my health. After reading through some posts, I've decided to take the plunge and up my treatment regime; take it up a notch, to keep up with the Jones'.

I had about a 7% increase in a two week time frame when I started using it. I don't know if I can attribute that all to HS; but, that was the only change I made in those 2 weeks.

I didn't have an increase in PFT's but I think it has helped to prevent decline.
HTS really does do wonders.
