Before the nurse takes blood, she wipes your arm with alcohol and it dries up quick, right?
When you consume alcohol, it is expelled through the lungs. Thats why they do a breathalizyer test by blowing into a meter.
Therefore, because the alcohol is expelled through the lungs, this would cause your lungs to dry out, and drinking in a smokey bar just makes the lung condition worse, no doubt.
I would suggest if you drink, do it in moderation. If you can't then be sure to add water to it in order to avoid or cut down on the dryness of the lungs.
Theoretically, every human is to consume from 1 to 2 litres of water per day to stay hydrated.
I drink alcohol on occasion and when I realized it dries up the lungs, I drink water afterwards and put it by my bedside to drink in the middle of the night.
