I haven't got to bring my baby home yet.

Reading your post, my heart goes out to you. My son was born on May 8th and was released from the NICU on June 6th. He did not have the severe bowel problem your daughter has, however, he did have to have his obstruction surgically removed, which was what led to his stay in the hospital for 28 days. Be strong! These little babies are always so much stronger than we realize (and sometimes even more so than us as adults!)... so just remember that you will be bringing her home when she is ready.

hi, i dont think i have had to deal with that kind of situation but i can kind of relate to you. my daughter natalie was 2 weeks old wen we found out she had cf and i was like wow wat not my baby. but i dealt with it and did everything the docs said to do. wen she was 2 months old she got very sick and she had to be in the hospital 4 3 weeks and i was very upset cuz she ended up in the icu and on a feeding tube and oxygen and all i could do was cry becuz i knew i couldnt do anything about it. but eventualy she stoped coughing and wheezing, she was better or so i thought. right not she will be 5 months on the 11th and we are sitting in the hospital right now with her cuz she has another lung infection. and i am still clueless cuz she gains weight like crazy and she is so happy, yet she is still coughing and wheezing. so they have her on i think 3 antibiotics and her regulat inhaler and nebs. all i can suggest is to be there 4 ur baby and pray everything gets better. good luck and i will hope and pray that everything gets better!!!!
