Ok, I made you look! But really I did hit the jackpot!
This afternoon I attended the New Jersey Technology Council conference on "Social Networking Sites as an Emerging Market." I attended not because my husband was moderating the panel discussion but because I heard that Jeanne Barnett, our foundress here at Cysticfibrosis.com was on the panel. How is that for a small world?
She did an amazing job with her presentation especially explaining the definition of an e-patient in reference to this website. I was so proud of her. When the question and answer time came up...I raised my hand when my husband said, "We will take one more question." I was not the only one to raise my hand but I guess my husband figured he better pick me because he knew it would be a long drive home if he didn't! lol.... It was then that I stood up and explained why I attended...not because my husband was the moderator but because this was an opportunity to meet Jeanne in person as I was one of the e-patients on her website, cysticfibrosis.com. I then gave a little background about me and my experience with being an e-patient. I concluded by thanking Jeanne on behalf of all of us here on this forum for the many sacrifices and hard work she puts into running this site which provides, information, support and hope to each one of us. She is such a gracious lady and very beautiful too!
I also had the privilege of meeting her husband Peter, her two daughters- Sarah and MaryHelen, and Ennio our "IT Guru". What a jackpot that was to receive! They are an amazing group of individuals with many dreams for the future concerning this website. I am overwhelmed by the kindness and love they pour into their work. This truly is a labor of love for them that each one of us has been graced with.
Please join me in giving Jeanne 3 cheers for a job well done. Hip Hip Hurray!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!!
God Bless you Jeanne for all you do...and to your family that works along side you and Ennio who helps make it all happen.
