well, i would suggest something somewhere is not working, or you just stumbled into the most widespread cases of undiagnosed hypoglycemia, which i doubt. check the meter with a control but i'd bet its screwed up, i'd just have your dr check it, that way you don't have to go buy one and you know its right. if you do go looking for a meter though, think about what test strips cost for it, the companies make all their money off the test strips, the meter might only cost 30 but then you go look at the cost of strips

she should be getting an OGTT every year.

if she hasn't had one in the past 12 months, time to get one.

OGTT's exist because doing glucose monitors just aren't the same...

I went to the store today and exchanged the machine. This one seems to be working perfectly.

I will keep you all updated on her glucose numbers. She sees the CF doc next month and I will tell him it is time for the "drink the nasty orange stuff" test...lol
