I know this doesn't have anything to do with the stimulus, but this excited me, so I had to share this. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29024746/

As you may very well know, President Obama has kept in tact Bush's faith-based initiative office. At first I felt kinda betrayed, as Bush's measure was merely a smokescreen for him to have his venomous right-wing (there's nothing right about them<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">) unbalanced psychoneurotics to have a safety net right in the White House itself, which is spitting in the face of the constitution. Anybody recall separation of church and state? But after researching it, Obama has turned my frown upside down, he didn't close it; he infuriated the religious right yet again by opening the doors up to all faiths. And as a non-religious person such as myself, I absolutely love it when Obama said in his inaugural address, ""We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, AND NONBELIEVER'S." No change comes without a little growing pains, and the US is slowly becoming more and more secular. But as an atheist, or deist, if Bush had his way I shouldn't even be a citizen, fine, then why should I even bother to pay taxes? I think that remark by our President entails that everyone needs to re-examine their long held taboos; that non-believer's aren't bad, but genuine good people that simply don't believe in the same things as some.

they know that He WILL be elected for a Second Term, If He Really Helps
American People. Bush's plan gave the real money to the Rich. But that is No Surprise..

repubs, You had your 8 years. Pres Clinton left Us with Money in the Bank.

Just to clarify, I was more upset w/Bush (who I voted for twice) than Obama when it comes to stimulus & the bailout.

Republicans by definition are for small government, and private enterprise. In Bush's attempt to fix the economy he threw this completely out the window. Pissing off more than a few of us 'repubs'.

I disagree with Obama's plan as well, but I expected it as Democratic party philosophy is government spending and control. Therefore, while I don't think much of the money will do what is promised, it is what the Nation asked for when electing him and I wish him the best.

Either way, I think we are assuring my grandchildren will die poor trying to pay for every Tom, ***** & Harry's idea on how to fix the economy regardless of the pricetag or ANY evidence it will work.
