This is a great post Skye!

I just mentioned somehting like this in a PM I sent to a mom of a CFer just a few minutes ago.

I don't know how all you parents do it!!!! I couldn't imagine having to watch my child go through what I go through. You guys really are amazing

And yeah I "hated" my mom for making me take my pills and dragging me to the DRs but I love her to death now and I know I would be worse if I had won all those arguments

SO here is a big THANK YOU to all CF parents

What an incredibly touching post, Skye. Thank you.

My daughter is laying on the ground throwing a two year old tantrum because she doesn't want to do her vest. Its good to know that sticking to my guns is worth it for many reasons and that she won't hate me forever.

Thank you so very much for the wonderful post. I have only been a caretaker for four months now as my little one was diagnosed at 5 weeks of age on August 20, but I still wonder if she is going to resent me for all of this when she gets older. It feels great to hear from someone who has gone through it all. God bless you!

I sometimes wonder if my 14 year old daughter (no CF) resents us because of the time and commitment that we put into Craig's care. When I look at the situation, it does appear that we ignore her....or maybe its because she is that age, you know, stroppy teenager.

Do any of you have older kids that feel left out? Its such a fine balancing act regardless of any illness dont ya think.
