I so agree with you that the mind is a powerful thing. We can do so much more than we think if we put out mind to it. We may not always feel like exercising or may have the blues, but somethings u just have to give yourself a swift kick in the butt and tell yourself u can complete that workout and/or tell yourself life is wonderful. BUT: there are some things with CF that you can't control. No matter how much exercise u do, how much CPT you do or how much medications u take, they may never be enough to hold CF off. That is the reality of this disease.
And as much as I think my son's future is bright and work hard to keep his health good, I also know and want him to know the horrible side of this disease. The reality of CF. Hopefully he will not ever after to experience most of these things with the advancements I am hopeful will continue to be made, but 20 years from now when he is an adult and his health has deterioated, I want him to know it is not his fault.
