And yet countless other people do just fine without the opiate of religion. Just remember, not everyone is searching for a religious crutch, nor needs one.

Hey Faust, I'd like you to look in the face of a young boy with CF and tell him "although you might feel healthy now, as you get older your lungs are going to start bleeding and its going to be hard to breath and its at that point that you will know how long you will live"

This is the very kind of mentality that categorizes us into this box of sick people and creates an identity of sickness for us. My website is for those of you who are searching for hope or maybe have a child with cf and want to show them grown up healthy dudes who say its not a death sentence.

As far as the religion thing goes, I think its great that some people use that as a way to get through the day and make them stronger. The thing I don't understand is why you say thats why I'm looking for something else, like somehow I am missing Jesus in my heart. People who are searching for religion seek out religion, whether it be through Jesus, Allah, Buddha etc. and people who are searching for a natural cure try natural remedies. I don't really see the link between the two.

Mockingbird, ask your god and he will tell you, the best reality check you can ever give somebody is through the power of love, not through "ripping" on somebody.

Either way I'm loving all of the comments so please keep them coming!

Keep on living indubiously my fellow warriors!

I know where Faust and Cowtown are coming from. All three of us have kept a positive outlook with our cf, questioned our docs, exercised and feel like we have taken our CF in to our own hands but the end result has been progression of the disease in our 30s. I my 20s my FEV1s were 90% now in my 30s they are much lower and have had numerous complications. Even though I have had more progression of my cf than I expected in my 30s I am going to continue to keep a positive outlook, question my doc, exercise be complient and be in charge of my CF.

I think sometime we get frustrated when we do everything that is right but the progression still happens.
