I'm allergic to my Kitty

I've had a port since 1996... I'm on my second one now. Different doctors put in the ports and not once what I ever told to have my cat declawed!!! I've had no problems at all. The most Marley will do is try to play with the IV tubing when I'm doing my IV meds at home.

I have 2 cats. I have never heard such a thing about ports. I am on my second port (first stopped working after 7yrs). My cats and my ports have never been an issue. I dont think ports are even put that close to the top of the skin for a cat scratch to be an issue. And if the cat does scratch you just clean it, put on an antibotic ointment on it and cover it. It shouldnt be any different than any other scratch (cat or not) on any other part of the body.
