thanks everyone, i am here, not hooked up yet, they don't have any orders yet , i don't know when i'll get the picc,(don't have a port anymore) i'm so happy i have the comp. here !! some guy was nice enough to help me get going on it... will keep you guys posted... Joni... 55 y/o f w c/f

I'll be a picc buddy too, still have mine for 2 more weeks, only for IV tobra at home, stopped the vanco, and meropenum. I have had mine in for a month now, never kept one that long. Do they suture yours or use a stat lock? I had a suture before, and hated it, asked if they didn't have to and they said they use the stat locks now, alot better!

Do they suture yours or use a stat lock? I had a suture before, and hated it, asked if they didn't have to and they said they use the stat locks now, alot better!

Hey everybody. I'm in the PICC club too! Looks like there are a few of us oldies out there too!
I came home from the hosp last friday. get my dressing changed today. scheduled to stay on the Fortaz and Amikacin until I see the Doc on the 8th.
Having someone to share sure helps. Hang in there, BELACHE, hope you get some sleep and nurses who know how to run IV's without the alarms going off, Feel free to vent. I didnt have the pleasure of my computer while I was in. But time did blurr together after a while, and you loose track of time-which is a good thing. Feel better.
