Im In England - Question about America

Thanks for the replies guys,even though there not what I wanted to hear =(

I appreciate the honesty, grrrr it frustrates me why it is SO hard to become an American citizen =@

I would understand if I wanted to come over with the intention of living off benefits or whatever but that's not the case at all! I want to work and have a good career ... I want to live in America!! =P

So is the idea of moving to America completely unrealisic then?

I kinda thought that i'd have to have good qualifications to be considered .... hmmm i'm even more lost than I was before! I have NO idea what 'd do if I couldn't live in America =(

Check out Wisconsin. Like others said, I don't know all the hurdles to become a citizen, I have a friend whom took about 5 years to become an actual citizen. However, once you have a green card, you can find a job, and there are some good jobs with "good" (for the US) insurance. If in Wisconsin, they have a chronic disease program for people with cystic fibrosis which can supplement your private insurance (or if you don't have ins, it can be primary, but a pain in the but).

Don't get me wrong I enjoy living here, but our country is too caught up in making money, and we have a idiot running it. So maybe wait it out, see where we are in a few years, with a new president. Maybe it will get better... maybe not. I know if it dose not get better, its off to Canada for me and my hubby.

We live in a country where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I have heard that Canada has really good CF care out there so that's a bonus, thing is though i've always imagined living in California (maybe not right away but I eventually want to end up living there, maybe stopping in a few different states on the way!) hmm it's definetly something to consider though if I fail to become an American, just one thing - isn't it just as difficult to get into Canada as it is America? and also, if I became an Canadian citizen at first, would that make becoming an American citizen easier?
