I'm in the hospital

well, after five years of being in generally good health, they decided to "lock me up" my last two weeks of summer vacation, right before my senior year! There's a new thing this time though, MRSA. does anyone else have it? I guess it doesn't really affect me, however in will keep me in isolation, and in my hospital room, the entire time i'm here.... really exciting.

another question, i think this is the first time i've been admitted when i never really felt sick. I felt no changes in my breathing, no shortness of breath, nothing, but some how in less than three months, my PFT's dropped 35% !!!! how is this even possible? Has this ever happened to anyone else? you can't even imagine the complete shock i was in when they said i'd have to be admitted, i felt, and still feel (minus the pain in my arm from the freshly-placed pick line) completely fine and normal! I just thought this was incredibly odd, and wondered if this has ever happened to anyone else.... let me know, i'm incredibly bored already, and its only been three days!

I have no experience with MRSA but many others do and I am sure they will write to share their knowledge with you.

I am glad you feel well, even though your PFT's have dropped so much. They must have been very high to begin with for you not to feel the effects of the drop.

It is good that your doctor is staying on top of this and had you admitted. I know it sucks...but you will be all set to enjoy your senior year. My baby is a senior this year too! Lots of fun things to look forward to this year.

I hope Hannah that you won't have to stay in too long. I am keeping you in prayer.

Oh no! I don't have any experience with it either, but I'm sorry you're "locked up"! And I hope they get those PFT's back up where they are supposed to be asap! (At least you have your computer- how horribly boring!)
