Tina, do what is best for your kids, and don't let your mom talk you out of it. Getting all of the calories in is not easy, especially when they aren't feeling well and don't want to eat.

How are the kids taking it? Just be there for them, and you will all be fine.

When the doctor was releasing Dan from the hospital he said if Dan did the easy preventative stuff he would be around for a long long time. Vitamins for one is a easy one, shouldn't we all be on vitamins? It seems so scary now, but it will be a routine before long and the only time it will be scary is when you can see them getting sick. But then you know what to do, call the doc and have them seen.

I'm rambling, but I just want you to know that I here to support you with anything I can do for you.

As the days go by,I find myself on a mission. That mission is to spread awareness. There isn't one day that goes by that I don't tell someone what CF is. I have to. It's so important for my family and other CF families jump aboard the awareness train.

I was at work last night, sicker then a dog mind you, and I had walked in on my boss trying to explain to some of the other co-workers what CF was. It was kind of funny becuase she was telling them what Firbrosis is. So I had to jump in. It was a lot easier for me to explain it how I know then to let her explain her complicated way. But I was so proud that she did take that job. She also donated $100 to our Great Strides walk. How cool was that.

Oh, oh, this is so funny, the other day, I was sitting outside working on the banners we are hanging in our yard and up walks 3 young gentlemen. Just by looking at them in their shirts and ties, I knew who they were. I looked at my kids and told them "watch this". I knew what they were there for and being a catholic family I didnt need them to preach their word, so I decided to preach mine! CF BABY!! They asked me what I was doing and one hour later when they were finally on their way, left with a little bit of education. They arrived with no education about CF and left with a world of knowledge. I have even incorperated them into my fundraising goals and they gave me their numbers. It felt good. I looked at it this way, why talk them talk to me about something I already knew, when I can teach them something they dont know. My kids were like "mom, how can you do that?? You didnt even know them and you just started a conversation!" I just laugh because thats who I am. They all take after their dad. Not guts! LOLOLOL.. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> If you want something done you have to do it yourself.

I could sit here and type all day today but I have a family reunion to go to. Guess what I will be preaching!!!

Have a great day to everyone and thank you for all the support!

Tina, we are here for you while you are going through this and future sadness and frustration. We have all needed the support of the other families on cf.com and know what its like to feel like no one around us "gets it".

You are a good mom, your children are so fortunate.
