Ok i went to the hospital last night. They basically said theres nothing wrong with me. said eveyrthing looks great but of course the hospital i went to is local and dont know jack ***** about cystic fibrosis. They will even tell you themselves they dont know much of anything about it. One doctor told me i was completely healthy. I asked him if he got his degree from a cracker jack box. I stepped up my treatments and the dr at childrens (where they know cf) put me on cipro. And some other medicine. i have an appointment tuesday to see what my pfts are and then there they will decide if i have to stay or not. I am proper arrangements for lucas and everything. I am gonna talk to them about home iv meds. If not i will stay up there for the full two weeks to make sure i am better. It will also give me time away from being a mother for a while. make sure i get proper rest that a cf patient needs and i will be able to eat normal too. Where im staying we dont have any food. we nit pick everyday we look like scavangers in the kitchen. its bad. I lost seven lbs. i have gotten very pale and peeky looking. Everyone asks me if im sick when they see me because i look so diffrent.</end quote></div>

I am very glad you got the ball rolling, but IMHO one of the reasons you got sick is because you cant/dont eat properly. I am not sure what the arrangements are, but nutrition is important for anyone especially a CFer. The meds are going to drain you a bit more before you feel better so PLEASE eat as best as you can!

Yes proper nutrition is one of the keys to staying well. Hopefully the cipro will jump start you getting better...but if my PFT's had dropped that much my doc wouldnt let me leave the hosp without getting IV's. I am glad you are taking the right step...let us know how things go. I will be thinking of you...<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
