Ok, update:

As of Fri morning we are doing basically nothing <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

We ended up at our local childrens and are in the ICU. Trying to get transferred about 2hrs away to where his liver Dr is based, but there is not an open PICU bed so they are trying to pull strings.

Pulmo-wise: on 9L O2 he is stating around 95-96%; if you pull the mask he drops to 90-91%
Liver-wise: ammonia is still high (waiting for new labs this AM) and acting altered, but can't do anything until we get him transferred to where the liver team is.

Thank you all for your thoughts,

They have FINALLY arrived at his hospital with his doctors. He's still altered. He's O2 stats aren't significantly better. He is "home" and that should make all the difference. Whereas we had to keep stressing to the local hospital HOW bad this was for him. Every nurse who sees him is stopping to comment on how bad he is. His nurse walked in and said, "This is not my Micah." They get it. They can see it. Not having to try and explain just that is worth the two days of fighting to get him there.

NO idea what is going on. Two days NPO and we lost the entire Kg I fought a MONTH to get back on him! But, he's where he needs to be now.

Thank God he is where his team knows him! I hope that they get to the bottom of this quickly so that Micah can be himself again. Sending hugs and prayers,
