I would call patient advocacy, talk to the social worker at you current clinic, I was talk to a lawyer (free consult) and then I would switch clinics.

I am so sorry for your struggles and youll be in my prayers.

even when in the hospital you can refuse any medication that you are unsure about. i refuse stuff all the time if i havent discussed the medication with the doctors myself.

Dang girl, heck yea I would sue. And I'm usually not fond of the sueing idea. It seems as though they didn't really know what they were doing and seem kind of careless...but who knows, I could be wrong.

I am not sure if you have done anything yet, but if you havent I would suggest a free consultation with a good lawyer. I had a blood clot in a PICC before and they used something, I cannot remember the name of it, in with the saline to help dissolve the clots so I could continue using my PICC. I am not sure why they chose to do nothing and in my mind that is very negligent on their part. I would definitely look for a new CF clinic. Did they even do levels of your meds to make sure they weren't going to cause problems? That also seems negligent to me.
I am very sorry that had to happen and honestly I dont think you should go back to that dr.
