Emma had an infant PFT when she was 4 1/2 months old.
Here is what I wrote about it on her Caringbridge site after the appointment:

Emma had an appointment today at the U of M Fairview Hospital. She had a Infant Pulmonary Function Test, in addition to havng her monthly appointment.
Infant Pulmonary Function Test - is done by measuring the air that is forced out of the child's lungs when a squeeze is applied to their chest. The squeeze is applied by rapidly inflating a balloon type vest that is placed around the child's chest.
She was given a sedative but still had trouble staying asleep for the entire test. They were able to keep her asleep long enough to get the tests done and her results were all within the 'normal' range. So we are quite happy to hear that!
