So mannitol is related to sorbitol?
I have that same digestive issue with it that Kristen wrote about. I can't even have one piece of sugarfree gum without having the runs.
I sure hope Bronchitol doesn't have the same effect. I have been looking forward to it for over a year now.

I think it's been mentioned before here -- someone's daughter from australia was looking into a clinica trial. Trade name is bronchitol.

And apparently it's a powder form and an inhaler is used to dispense the med. Sounds similar to HTS.</end quote>

That's where I've heard of it before! Good to see it's still looking good .

Here you can read some of the latest news about bronchitol.

Read the quarterly report to share holders june 2008.
Very interesting. They will ask for approval for bronchiectasies, at the end of this year in australia, and second quarter of 2009 in europe. I hope it will come out to market soon.!!
It also says that they have started a global compasionate use program (read page 6), they say they will provide bronchitol to patients with no other clinical options, with bronchiectasies or cf.
