When I had a doctor treat me the way you're describing, not only did I make sure I never had to see her again, I told the other, more established CF docs about my experiences with her. Turns out she was a problem for several patients and ended up being fired!! Now I don't know what kind of malpractice she committed to have been fired, but obviously I wasn't the only one who had problems with her.
Of course it depends on your situation and the general "feel" of your clinic whether or not you can safely reveal her shortcomings to her superiors. For me, I knew my doctor was wrong and I knew other patients may not be so aware about their own health care or might be less likely to speak up. And I knew I wasn't willing to put my health at risk by continuing to keep her as a physician.
Whatever you decide, you absolutely do have the right to switch doctors. ha, even now there are two docs at my current clinic and I just plain don't like one of them. He's not a bad guy or anything, I just like the other guy better and I refuse to see the doc I don't like. Nobody gives me any grief about it.
