I just wanted to put in that when DS was first born and we were going to our first clinic, they gave us the option of seeing the Dietician or not because they knew it wouldn't be covered under insurance.
Being a first time mom to a CFer, I said no, because I didn't want to pay the bill when I was just feeding him breastmilk...boy was I wrong.
We have seen the Dietician more than any other specialist. I'm not sure how the clinic got around it, or maybe it is because our insurance changed, but we now see her and don't get charged.
I would definitely appeal it. Especially because they allow people with elective surgery to see them. They need to know that seeing the Dietician/Nutritionist could possibly keep your little one out of the hospital (g-tube or other reasons). I'm sure they wouldn't want to pay that bill.
