Interesting article on giving up the ghost

I have read a few articles similar to that one before and it always makes me uncomfy. What scared me most about this article was what was said about cepacia and also when they mentioned the "locked in" symdrome. That truely sounds horrifying.

Wow, I found that very interesting, thank you for sharing that article Faust. It didn't bother me one bit but I did find it interesting to read about all those different cases, it was sad to think that those people died but still interesting to read. Im thinking since they never said in the article if the people died or not, I would like to think they lived and pulled through, eventhough me thinking that is most likely wrong since the article was about death.

Thanks so much for posting this SD. It was fantastically interesting. Not uplifting, certainly, but well worth the read. My favorite part (other than the CF kid):

We give death power precisely to the extent that we work to ignore it, to blind ourselves to its closeness, to imagine we have the power to stave it off forever.

This is sort of my motto. Don't ignore death. Accept it, deal with it, even laugh in the face of it. It gives death less power... and you more. And now that someone "professional" has said it, I feel better. Hah.
