Interesting article on giving up the ghost

Well i'm glad some people appreciated the article. After I posted the thread, I thought twice about posting it. You know, a thread graphically about death, posting it to a forum with people with a terminal disease. But then I said "I bet there are some people like myself that will find it interesting, and possibly empowering". Thankfully I was right <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> The part that eeked me out was the guy with the ruptured brain bleed, and the description involved.

Of course it was the CF kid who was most at peace with dying...We are told that our whole life, so while far from good news, we are much more acclimated to death than a healthy 40 year old who never thought about death and comes in with something terminal and very fast.

This was a great article! It really captured me. Death is a part of life, whether you have a life threatening disease or not. I lost my mother when I was 18, she had a rare cancer that just totally took over her body, but I wasnt sad for her to die.I was sad for her pain and I was sad for myself, sad for living without her, yet happy for her death. She embraced it. It taught me that, death is one thing you cant fight forever.
