Is Gallbladder Problem part of CF

I had my gallbladder removed about 15 years ago. That was long before I was diagnosed with CF. The surgeon's report described mucus filled ducts and calcified golf ball sized gall stones. The surgeon told me he'd never seen one with so much mucus or in the state mine was in when they removed it. You'd think the pathology or mucus might have raised a CF flag, but it didn't. So I went undiagnosed for another 15 years.... ~Juliet

My son had a similar start. He had elevated liver levels and they put him on actigall. Same stuff though--meconium ileus, ileostomy, take down, jaundice, anemic, blood transfusions, blood infection, lack of weight gain, NG tube, vomiting.

It will get better though!

I am seeing a pattern here My son was also born with meconum illeus and was operated the day he was born. When he was 8 he had his gall bladder removed. He also has liver damage.

I dont have mine out yet, but testing reveals it will only be a matter of time. I have had episodes with it. I dont see how our gallbladder cant be affected at some point even if its not a "classic" sign of CF.
