is it just me?

is anyone else as frustrated with the process for logging in to see your Great Strides account online? i wish they could have something a little more user friendly. as it is now, you have to go to the main CFF page, click on Great Strides, which pulls up another window, click on Find Walker, put in your name and scroll down to your state, which opens up another window, and then click on your name, which pulls up yet another window!! i like being able to check who donates online, but it is such a pain.

also, it doesn't list the amount people give, which irks me, because i'm trying to keep track of it on my sheet at home and i feel like the online donations don't count toward my total fundraising!

Laura, First of all, I'm so glad to hear that you are fundraising for Great Strides despite your inability to be at the walk due to cepacia. How did you make that all work out?

Yes, I'm with ya on the frustrations of the Great Strides site. Do voice your complaints to them as they make changes. For example, the button that has appeared this year that says "Get Email List" is something I asked for. Not to say they did it because I asked but maybe a bunch of people did and they made it happen.

When you go to cff.org click on Great Strides. Instead of finding a walker. Login to the page. If a login box does not appear then you are already logged in. Logging in should take you to your account page, not your home page. Along the lefthand column you'll see many options including "View Donations" where you can see who has donated what amount.

If you need further help, let me know. I'd be happy to walk you through it over the phone. Just pm me.

I just log onto my account instead of viewing walker. I did have more problems last year than this year -- they were down so many times for maintenance and timing wise it coincided with being a couple days before the walk, so people were unable to donate. You'd think they'd schedule maintenance in the middle of the night instead of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST.

I click on the the site click on great strides and then on the left side it has log into your account and thats what I do, then Im in.

If they dont show all the people that has donated then it is possible that they are really backed up and are trying their hardest to get all the donations in, I know I have a few that have not been entered yet but I emailed the lady that is in charge around my area and she said they are really busy with other peoples accounts and updating them so just give them time with entereing the donations. I have no problem with it and I respect them for working so hard at keeping everything updated, especially if there are few helping.

Oh, and make sure when you go to the account page, you refresh your screen. Sometimes it stays on the old history screen and you don't see the updates. Also, every time there is a donation, you should get an email indicating that so-and-so donated to Great Strides, 'cuz it's set up they'll send an automatic email thank you to people.

As far as checks that were sent in or that you submitted with your walk packet, that info usually doesn't show up on the account page until the following month. And sometimes for smaller amounts, it just shows up at cash donations under $75 and a lump some.

I too had some problem with managing my Great Strides page online. After last year, I encouraged my friends not to donate online. Many of them were contacted to increase their donations. I didn't like that.
