Is there snow where you are?

I have heard and read about 1,000,000 times that there is snow in 49 of the fifty United States (I believe Florida is the only one without).

Up here in MA/NH we have at least 2 feet and this is my second snow day in a row. I work in an inner city school, so plowing in the city is an issue...but just about every other school around me has it off as well. I went out to shovel my car out yesterday and it was a blast! My apartment complex has three buildings and about 1,000 residents, so we all helped each other out and just had fun shoveling. We are not responsible for shoveling anything but our cars. So we all had to move them so they could plow. Luckily I was able to easily shovel and move my car. Then I got an email saying my store was closed so I didn't have to go to either job yesterday!!

So share your stories here. Do you have snow in your yard? Do you enjoy it? (As most of you know, I LOVE IT!)

We have tons of snow. Record breaking! We had a storm around Thanksgiving and it hasn't let up yet. Seems like every weekend before Christmas it stormed. Then we got hit with TWO blizzards in a row just in time for New Year. Which ordinarily wouldn't be so bad except that it rained right before those so we have a nice coating of ice that keeps getting polished up with each new snowfall because the temps haven't been above the teens for weeks.

I have a 4wd jeep, so I usually LOVE snow and winter, but the ice and huge piles of snow blocking visibility at driveways and intersections has made me pretty edgy. Though I will say there are some HUGE snowpiles next to my office parking lot 20' feet high or more that I am soooo tempted to climb!

DS LOVES it. At school and daycare they've been out playing in the snow every day.

Oh, we live in eastern ND, so I really can't complain. It's supposed to be cold and snowy this time of year.

Yes! South Shore MA got a mix of snow and sleet (about 10") so the stuff on the ground is like cement! We shoveled three times yesterday. Our beautiful dogwood tree broke in half from the weight- hopefully we can save it.

We were lucky to have our power, many towns around us didn't. I do love the snow when it falls and right after, but I don't like the muck and ice afterwards.

We had one inch of snow in North Carolina on Monday and have not had school even one day this week. Coming from Michigan, this is very frustrating!

We got 24" of snow Tues night into yesterday here in CT! We've had a couple big storms the last few weeks, but this one was huge! The kids are off for the 2nd day in a row... beautiful and sunny today, but all the side roads in our area are still covered in snow and ice and needing to be cleared before the buses can run.

Yes, and I am loving it! Too bad I spent the entire day shoveling out yesterday and I am so sore today. We got about 16 or 17 inches where I am in Mass. But my kids had a blast yesterday playing in it and it really does look beautiful when it first falls.
