Is there snow where you are?

Yes, and I am loving it! Too bad I spent the entire day shoveling out yesterday and I am so sore today. We got about 16 or 17 inches where I am in Mass. But my kids had a blast yesterday playing in it and it really does look beautiful when it first falls.

I'm in the so-called Frozen Tundra - Wisconsin. Usually at this time of the year we are under a foot or two of snow. Not this year. There's been snow nearly every day for a week, but it hasn't been amounting to anything. There's a covering on everything now, but not enough to go sledding or anything fun. And it's been warm. 30 degree days or warmer. I am hoping for at least one good storm and snow day. But not tomrrow. Lots of broken hearts if school is called off tomorrow. I'll keep my fingers crossed for next week!

Yep, I'm in Nebraska and we've got about a foot of snow on the ground. I normally kind of enjoy the snow and think it's really pretty, but this time it is accompanied by below zero temps and wind chills of 30 below. YUCK! Hopefully it will warm up a little so I can take my nieces sledding!

I gotta say tho Caitlin, I think you're a little crazy for enjoying the shoveling/scooping out part of snow! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I hate it. And like Leah, I was super sore after helping my husband shovel the sidewalk and driveway! I didn't even feel like I that did much til I woke up super sore the next morning.

Overall tho I do enjoy snow and I'm glad I live in an area where we enjoy the highs and lows of all the seasons!

We have some snow in the D.C. area, but it's been off-and-on again this winter, and we've never gotten more than a few inches of accumulation at a time. Last winter we had some great blizzards bulls-eyed right over where I live, and we totaled up to 90 inches! I'd love to have another winter like that twice in a row, but I doubt it'll happen (They rarely happen back-to-back). I want to be able to use my snowshoes again!!!

Btw, the first major storm of this season, back in December, left everyone with snow, EXCEPT for us! If you looked at an accumulation coverage map, we were this green hole smack dab in the middle of it all. It was the complete polar opposite of last year.

My brother in NY State is getting a lot of action with the plow on his truck right now, and he as well as his dog are really enjoying it together :-D

We are finally thawing out (in Colorado). Quite a slushy mess. We live far enough from the mountains that we get the lighter side of the storms.
