Oh my goodness, I am soooo sorry to hear your boys have both been so sick. It makes my heart hurt reading this and thinking about the CF center claiming this is not their issue to deal with. UGH!!!

All of my kids have had Roseola, and although the fever is intense and its miserable, it only lasts a few days. What you are talking about sounds much worse. I wonder if they said it was roseolla, so that they could put a name on it. From what I understand they don't diagnose it until its over and the rash has hit. Both my CFer and my nonCFer were diagnosed with an ear infection first and then when the rash hit, the peds were saying, "Oh, nevermind on the ear infection, its roseolla -- but keep taking the antibiotics anyway, just in case." WTH?

I hope that they figure out what is going on with your boys. I'm sure you are very scared.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that my 4 yr old started school about 2months ago. The rash. When we were in the cf clinic last. Both boys had been running high fevers for four days. My oldest had the first rash then. They didn't even say anything about it. I asked and they said some kids get rashes with fevers.

I'm just stressed cause they've been sick. We've had alot going on and now it looks like my baby will be in the hospital on his third b-day.
