I am in absolute shock..I found out tonight when I went in for my IV's that a dear friend has lost her battle with CF and its complications. Her sign in name here was Mare, she was a wonderful soul who helped me through some very tough times. She had emailed me over a week ago saying she was admitted to the hospital with bowel problems, she was then shipped to a bigger hospital after no treatments worked for her. I do not know the rest of the details, I have yet to talk to her husband, but I do know that she passed away this past Saturday.
When I met her through this site, I also realized just how small this world really is. Unbeknownst to me, she worked in the very same small rural hospital as I did, we also went to the same gym when we were both healthy...I just did not know that she had CF until I came to this site looking for support. She was a selfless person who never complained even though she had every right to complain at times. I will miss her very much, she was a very good friend...I am in tears.
