I've been on it a few times. I always get anumb mouth and face. Not something i like to be on really. I find the first few days are worst and after i don't notice it so much don't know if i just get used to it.

I've been on it a few times, found it much more effective than other IVs at the moment. Maybe it's just because it was something new (even though I do colomycin nebs).

First time I had it in IV, I had some side effects -tingly mouth and lips, and drunk walking (haha) but pretty much something to giggle about afterwards, it was sometimes kinda funny if I went sideways a bit. My lovely friend cracked the joke I was drunk. Hehe. But seriously, the positive feeling of boundless energy, clear chest and less coughing than I'd had in months, heck, years, was definitley worth a bit of wonky walking.

Don't get the side effects now as I'm used to the dose <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Thank you to all of you that responded. I really appreciate your help & input. Looks like some of you have had some side effects & some have not. I just have really high anxiety over adverse drug reactions ever since I had 2 really bad ones to TOBI a few years ago. (I no longer do TOBI).
MOMTO CORY, I thank you for your response-I had no idea colistin could suppress respirations & i will be sure to have them monitor that. I think it is wonderful that you are still on this site helping people. Such an honorable thing you are doing for us-Thank you.
And thank you to all the others that responded as well!

I've done IV Coly. It is nasty stuff, but the main side effect I've ever had is a metallic taste in my mouth the whole time I was on it. Went away about 2 days after I finished.
