I saw a link in the family section that provided another Cf website and I just have to say this"

It really frustrates me that we have to provide links to other sites for families and CFers to go to, although I understand why the poster did it. This use to be such a warm and welcoming community!

I have a solution, why don't we get rid of the people causing the trouble? I know I am going to get it for this, and I'm sorry in advance, but I have to say that Allie, LittleDebbie, TheLizardqueen, SeanDavis and Emily, on occasion since Allie Joined... I have to include you in this list too- are always involved in some sort of arguement on this forum. If we can't get it back to the way it use to be, where there was assistance, help, friendship, support, guidance, information, and KINDNESS, why don't we ask the problem to leave? As a matter of fact, that is what I am requesting right now.

I know that this post might not seem kind, and it is not my intention to be rude, but to try and resolve some of the gross problems on this forum lately. And I've thougth about it and there doesn't seem to be another way to address the issue.

To me, it's sad that I can always predict what 3-5 people will ALWAYS be involved in an arguement. And not some sort of situation where there is a difference of opinion discussed, because that is just human nature, but where there is brutality going on, a falling apart of this forum and outright rudeness and disrespect.

I will not leave this forum just because there is all this crap going on-I have too much to learn and too much to offer, and have never before considered telling or asking someone else to leave because they too have to learn and have things to offer, but I am up to my eyeballs in disrespect, name calling, childish comments, NEVER answering a person's questions.... come on people. Lets do something different about this or if you cant handle being kind and refraining from the aforementioned behavior... please find somewhere else to take it besides a site where people come for support.

I agree, but I don't think this will ever happen. A person has to be aware of this before admitting to themselves.

I am so saddened by your comments.....I hope that you do not teach your new babies to hate like you do......I feel very sad for you Julie and I can only hope that you will find the happiness that you want.

and as far as polarizing figures...well, I'd have to say many of your posts have been VERY harsh and lacking in understanding.

I'm not leaving just because of all this crap going on either. Sorry if you don't like it (actually, retract that, I'm not sorry). A lot of people are sick of you too (trust me on that one), and no one has asked you to leave. Whether or not it was your intention for this post to be rude, it is. Like I said, there are several of us (at least) who are sick of you and we've kept it to ourselves. Now that you feel it's acceptable to tell us so, I'll stop being polite and tell you the same. Check this out... even in my telling you that we're sick of you, I'm not going to suggest you leave, because it's your right to be here. Amazing, isn't it? I'm not really insulted, and I'm not taking your advice, suggestion, whatever... to leave.

As for Allie, if people weren't so rude to her, I wouldn't have a problem. I don't sit and swallow rudeness quietly (and that includes everyone jumping down her throat just because she's the voice of truth around here that no one wants to hear... THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM, NOT HERS!!!) when it's directed to those I care about. And that, as we all know, includes Allie.

Another note I feel I should mention... I've been on this forum for more than two years, and there were rarely, if ever, any problems back then. Not nearly as many as there are now. So clearly, I'm not the problem.

Even if I am... I'm an advocate for free speech. Sorry to all you commies out there (hahaha --- joke, don't spaz), but I believe in saying what you want. Even if it's ignorant trash, even if I think it's the stupidest thing on the planet. Just means I have the right to say that I think it's stupid. Everyone has the right to say what they want. If you don't like it, you can find a nice cushy place to go where people are only allowed to say sunny happy things. If you want to stay here, you need to accept that the truth will be spoken, whether or not it's "scary."

Really, the basic problem for me when I start getting "rude" (which by the way, is sometimes questionable) is when people start in on trying to censor free speech. It's my right, and I'm going to use it. I'm not even abusing it. When I do start to get rude or insulting, it's because my right to free speech is being threatened. I don't tolerate that.

It's funny, you managed to list many of the posters I actually enjoy hearing from.

You talk about wanting to stop all the drama and trouble - then you go and start up the absolute worst drama ever - the attempt to ban users who actually contribute in favor of posters who don't have the nuts to get forum accounts. Did you really need to make a forum post to say "I don't like these people and want them to leave?"

That's crap, and I'm not going to stand for it.

You know this will serve no point other than have others (especially those named) come in here and contribute to BS drama right? Sigh.


BTW I will offer a quick opinion, even though it 100% goes against my point I just made. A community is a community. As the old saying goes in racial tolerance training "We are all a big box of crayons". Or the term "It takes all types". There will be people akin to care bears that mentally float around of fluffy heart shaped clouds, there will be people who are general a*ses due to whatever reasons, there will be highly jaded people, and there will be many people who just don't care about much that doesn't affect them. There are tons of different types of people in a community. Fortunately (or unfortunately for those who don't see the purpose of interacting with all of them) we all have to encounter atleast one of each type on a daily basis. It helps to keep our perspective in place that we are indeed, a big box of crayons, of all types of people (not racially as a reference, but internally).

If any one person doesn't like the state of a community for whatever reason, they have the choice to leave that community. Noone is shackling anyone at the ankle to stay here, or anywhere in the real world. And aside from the admin, noone has the right to say who should leave and who should go unless someone is blatantly breaking rules such as posting pornographic content, extreme real life threats, and so forth. While you at times have annoyed me with the way you are, just as I have annoyed you with the way I am, I have never even partially insinuated for you to leave. I, unlike you, realize "It takes all kinds". Maybe it's because i'm older. Maybe it's because I have CF and you don't. Maybe you just haven't "gotten it" yet. Maybe it's because you have much more estrogen in your system than I do and crave more rampant drama, who knows.


But I find it absurd that you feel you have any authority, just as a member like I am here, to ask a group (or even individuals) to leave, who have done nothing more offensive than share their opinions and comments on a forum, where there haven't been any direct rule infractions.


Can Julie please now tell me what books I must remove from my house and burn in the town square? Aside from my opinion above, which I feel most sane people might share, I will let you slide on the rest, because you are pregnant with several children, and swimming with hormones. I know the gestation of a new born requires the host of any animal to take in more nutrients in order for the host and the baby to continue on and develope healthily. Have you been eating a balanced diet, and taking proper vitamin supplements? There might be an issue with your brain not getting the nutrients that it needs.

BTW for those who wonder why i make some of the sarcastic comments that I make, posts like this is a prime example why. When met with stupidity/absurdity, after so many years of encountering it, it's just more entertaining to whip out the stupid/absurdity gun as well and start busting off nuggets.

Nice. It helps keep my mysogonistic side in check when I see that all women aren't like Julie, and there are still women out there "filled with piss and vinegar" like my granny used to say. Heh, ya gotta enjoy something this pure on the tardation scale when it is available, because gems of this clarity don't get burped up nearly as often as they should (for the entertainment principle). BTW I just noticed that *I* am on Furor Julies list too. I've changed my mind. No rounding up. I think I am going to run away to Brazil and go into hiding.

Sometimes I compare reading this forum to watching a NASCAR race. You watch the cars go round and round. Drivers on the same team helping each other out getting better position, but evetually a driver will do something to tick off another driver then, BAM, they get swiped and sent into the wall or another car, sometimes causing a train reaction that takes out a bunch of cars.
I read this forum to get help as a person with CF. Get good advice on everyday living. But sometimes I want to see who is ticking off who, like a good drama. This kind of stuff is gonna happen because everyone has different opinions about life and living, it's just the nature of the beast.
Some people watch just to see the crashes, but most people just want to see a good, clean race.

Julie, I figure this thread will soon be deleted becauseI think there will be mostly negative remarks made. So before that happens, I'll just say, I think there's something to be said for standing up for respect and kindness too.

Hmmm, I wonder just how many unhappy posts will be made. Should be a long one. I see this one getting to possibly 9 pages or more, of mostly the same people going back and forth, just like the CF Progression thread. I guess we'll see...
