Hi everyone,

I am in the hospital. Finally got my laptop with wireless in my room. Feeling a bit better.

I guess the big news is that I'm going through all the tests to prep for Transplant.

They don't know if they will transplant me anytime soon, doc said could be a couple years or it could be 5 years, but they want me to get everthing done in case I would get sick in the future and not be able to get throug the tests.

At any rate, this site well prepared me for the news. If this happened two years ago I would still be crying, but I can say I am well prepared for this and I want to thank everyone whose had a transplant for contribituing to that.

I have had a lot of the bloodwork already as well as ct, ultrasound and still need some xrays. I guess the best news is that my hospital was #1!! in the nation last year in successful transplants. I'm still hoping to get my pft's back up but this is the best track to take just to be safe. Should be out of the hospital in a couple more days.

Thanks for kind thoughts and prayers,

John

*Oh, I liked how one of my doctors described my bacteria, she said "You've got three kinds of pseudomonas, two that are pretty friendly and one that is not so friendly."

Hi John,

Good luck getting through all this. Definitely is great that you have a laptop with internet connection...that can be a real sanity preserver!

* Your doctor's comment made me chuckle!
