My hubby insisted that we were having a boy. I felt in my heart that it was a girl so we did sonograms. Not one, not two, not threee, but 5 (FIVE) because each time the doctor would say she didnt see a penis. This doctor adored my husband & worked with him in the OR at our local hospital so she actually catered to his wishes. On the last sonogram, he had her come to her office during non office hours to check one more time for that penis. By this time I was 7 months pregnant. I had picked out girls names & told everyone I worked with that its suppose to be a girl. He finally decided it MIGHT be a girl & he should have input on the girls name. Until that point he swore it was a boy & he would be Robert Junior. Anyway I had chose Amber Rose, but when he decided that maybe its a girl he preferred Jazmine Rose so thats what we went with. For my baby shower I got ALL pink. I mean ALL pink. The only thing that wasnt pink was the stroller/carseat combination. All I could think was....the doctor better be right. Of course she was!

I couldn't wait with either pregnancy. We had to find out! First a girl & then a boy. It was still a surprise....just earlier than if we had waited for the delivery. kwim? We did keep the names a secret though.

I think I might win this battle, but only time will tell . We have decided on some neutral colors for the room and crib decor and such, but I still want to know!!!!

Kelli, YES!!! I am pregnant. I just found out on Thursday. I am only like a week and a few days, so just barely, but that works for me. Faith, optimism and everyone on this site is what has gotten me to this point, so I am just going to keep that up!! How was your vacation? Sounds like fun!

We didn't find out the gender with Sydney and it was WONDERFUL bc we held her in our arms (on my belly) admiring her and loving her before it even dawned on us that we didn't know if she was a "he" or a "she" - that is one of the best memories of my life - just loving our baby and not caring a bit about the gender... With this pregnancy, we decided to find out bc we felt we had our fill of suprises and needed something to lift our spirits after all of the stress (unplanned pregnancy, 25% chance of CF, genetic testing, amnio, etc) the best suprise was finding out that the baby doesn't have CF but we were also excited to find out that we are having a boy and I am glad to know ahead of time so I can read "Boys for Dummies", lol.

Anyway, hope you guys can agree on something - maybe you will have a boy and a girl!

Every time I've thought about being a mother, I recall always wanting to know the sex of the baby before delivery. I guess it's just me. I recall in our discussions Mark agreeing, but oh well. If the baby is healthy that is all that really matters-right?

Thanks everyone, I'll keep everyone posted. There are pictures of my stomach on our website www.cysticfibrosismaleinfertility.com and then under "we are pregnant", click on the here to read the day by day's of the infertility treatments and see some pictures. My stomach is so huge right now because of the over stimulation of my ovaries from the medication. This only affects about 2% of women. I've also had to have my stomach drained twice, that only happens to 1% of women. I told Mark we hit the jackpot all around (especially if you throw the pregnancy in there) and we should invest just $1 in a lottery ticket-lord knows we could use it

Much love and appreciation to all!!!!

I just bought the Laura Ashley travel system for my God baby.. It comes with the car seat, stroller, and the base.. It is awesome.. That was our favorite one too..

We originally bought one of the graco travel systems, but in the end decided it was way too bulky/heavy compared with other options. we ended up, after dozens of hours of my researching online, to go with the britax brand of car seats and strollers, the "companion" infant car seat and the forerunner stroller to be exact. the infant car seat is the safest seat on the market due to the design of the base and the inflatable head support in the seat. it is a little more expensive than other seats, but what is an extra $40 when it comes to safety? you can check them out at babyuniverse.com or elitecarseats.com. just wanted to pass that info along...

I had the graco stroller, car seat, infant carrier all in one. I had nothing but problems. I couldnt ever get the carseat unattached from the stroller so it really did me no good having the combo. Remember that this was 8 years ago!

I just looked at that website, well I guess because I am doing my stuff and have nothing better to do, and I love looking at baby stuff, Steve, I think that car seat is really cool, of course after looking at it, I think it is very safe, I like all the extra added saftey features..and would probably want one similiar if I ever have a baby.... I went on to look at the strollers because most of my friends are having babies these days and I am always looking for gifts to get...

I came across the Bug a Boo stroller, IT COSTS $749.00, I can't imagine paying that much for a baby stroller, HOLY MOLY... I do like the carseat though and really didn't find it to be that much money... The Laura Ashley one was very easy to use also we tried it out in the store with a "loner baby" and were able to easily handel it with one hand..

The only draw back I saw to it was the print was very flowery, which made it look more like a girl stroller then a boys... I tried to tell my friend to get a gender neutral one in case her next baby was a boy.., but she wanted this one..
