I wonder if anyone has ever checked breastmilk of someone who is pancreatic insufficient to see if it is different than someone iwth cf who is pancreatic sufficient compared to 'normal'?
does anyone know?</end quote></div>
I don't know, but I am willing to bet that it's fine - seeing as our kids are all healthy. I did sign up at <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://neonatal.ama.ttuhsc.edu/lact/">http://neonatal.ama.ttuhsc.edu/lact/</a> to offer milk samples for lactation research, but i haven't been contacted yet.
I think also, if your vitamin levels and stuff are normal on your bloodwork then they would be normal in your breastmilk.
I also think there are so many benefits to breastfeeding as far as immunities, bonding, etc. that it would be a shame if CF moms found that their milk was lower in say....vitamin K and so they were discouraged from breastfeeding.
