I also breastfed my son for avout 3 and a half months. However, I never had enough supply to keep up with his needs. The doctors thought maybe that is from all the meds I am on (although they were all safe to nurse with). Did anyone else have this problem?? Even if I pumped to stimulate production, I would only pump about 20cc!! Very frustrating.

The nutritionist at our CF Center gave me an article (which I can't find right now) from a research study on breastfeeding mothers with CF - no negative effects on the infants.

I am currently breast feeding my cfer. I can not seem to produce enough either... even when I pump. Ella is in the 1perrcentile. I give her baby food twice a day. She is such a peanut. Her clinic encourages me to breast feed as long as possible beacuse they tell me it will give her a strong immune system that she will need to fight off infections.
