My son has had issues with kidney stones. It started a year ago and he ended up passing only one of them and the rest are still just sitting in his kidneys.He takes Polycitra Syrup which is probably the same thing as UROCITK. His stones that are still in his kidney have not grown since we started the Polycitra. The Nephrologist said there was a very small chance that they would shrink or go away, but the goal was really to not create more stones and keep the ones he has from growing. From everything I've been told and have researched the Polycitra is fairly natural and pretty harmless. He does have Osteoporosis also so we checked with his Orthopedic guy and he approved him to take the stuff.So far so good, no new stones but at some point the ones remaining in his kidneys have to go somewhere, so I'm constantly waiting for that shoe to drop. He was in excruciating pain with the one that he did pass, so I'm not looking forward for him to go through that again.Good luck with your stones.

HCTZ is hydrochlorothiazide <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> My urologist put me on a low dose of that to keep things moving. I believe the one thing we have to watch with that drug is increased potassium levels as it is different than Lasix which will deplete potassium. Even though I have been taking HCTZ for over a year, still have new kidney stones forming. I guess once you get one, the more likely you are to develop more of them.
