So I am trying to figure out how to make this short. I have a 15 month old son who has been sick for a good portion of his life.....It seems like it has been one thing after another. Just wondering about what we are seeing for symptoms.....He is currently being treated for asmtha because he has a chronic cough, acid reflux, he is lactose intolerant, he has trouble with his bowel movements more in the way of constipation and massive bowel movement once they happen(almost never formed stool). He also has massive gas spells which leave him bending back, crying out and are only relieved with passing gas which sometimes takes anywhere from 15min-to and hour for him to get rid of. It is also interesting after doing some reading my son who is fair skin also has a yellow tint on his hands and bottom of his feet--so much that my pediatricians RN has asked us if he eats alot of carrots, and sweet potato which he does not.
We saw a pulmonologist on Friday and he wants to do a sweat test next month to rule CF out..this has really taken my husband and I both back because it was nothing that we had given any thought too given that we thought that we were dealing with a child with asmtha and that is all....
Just wondering what peoples thought are in regards what we should be doing from here, and if any of these symptoms are familar? Any suggestions of questions/concerns that we should bring back to the doctors next month--think I am going to have trouble waiting until next month for the test.
Thanks for reading!
