I have had this a few times the past weeks too. I think it is because I have been feeling really really tired.

It's like there is a haze in my head. I don't know how to say it really. It's not in front of my eyes cause I see clear. It's only that when I turn my head I do see everything clear but it's like the vision doesn't move as fast as I move my head. And my head just feels strange, cloudy. Drunk maybe. I had it ones pretty bad when I was in physio and my physio said that my eyes were acting funny too. But not for the whole time. Sometimes it takes a few hours for my head to feel better again, sometimes it's only a few minutes.

The first time I really noticed this feeling was last september. It got pretty bad then. This was when I ended up in hospital with what they later thought has been a respiratory virus. My chest ached, I was really short of breath even when my pft's were the same as always.

I hope you can find out what it is, and that you'll feel better soon.

Thanks for responding everyone...

I have never had my o2 checked because my FEV1 is relatively good around 80%. I don't get as much sleep as I probably should at night, usually 6-7 hours. I have a really demanding social life and i am the kind of person that doesn't ever want to miss anything fun. I have lately been short of breath doing the simplest things, up and down stairs, walking in from the car, etc...Also, pretty much every morning I wake up like a bag of crap... Headaches, really heavy chest, sometimes short of breath...The other day i woke up at like 2am not being able to breath. When i get out of work i always want to, or feel like i have to nap, but usually just get a coffee or something to keep me awake...like i said i don't like to spend time sleeping during the day. I also wake up several times every night to cough.
I also get my glucose tolerance test done once a year, and it always comes back negative for CFRD. So i don't think thats the problem.
Well, thanks again for responding everyone. I have my clinic today so i'll see what my doc says about all this. Thanks!

It sounds like you may have something brewing in your lungs. I get very SOB with the simpliest tasks when I have an infection.

Let us know how clinic goes today!!!

just got home from clinic...docs think i might have mild asthma so i got prednisone to help that for now. Also, i am not on any constant antibiotic, so they think the 2 bugs i grow are getting a little out of hand. So i am starting a dose 3 times a week of zithromax. FEV1 down to 59% lowest its ever been.... Does anyone else grow stenotrophomonis and staphylocockis? Those are my two buddies...
