Running and surfing are my two key tricks. The running is obvious--lung clearance! Surfing is like a natural hypertonic saline treatment--it's awesome! Other tricks: eat right, get enough sleep, don't overbook myself, keep strong communication lines open with my team of doctors....and a positive attitude helps loads!

I try to run 2-3 miles 3-7 times per week. I would do 7 if I could but school gets in the way. I start doing this about 4 months ago. I have seen such an improvement in my lungs and over all health, plus I love the "runners high" lol. I use to hate to work out, and go to the gym. Finally I just decided I really need to put some effort in this and started running outside on a path. It works for me, more then the gym. I guess I didnt care about being around a bunch of people any sweating everywhere. When I run outside, its very peachful. So maybe you just need to find what makes you want to do it. I take fish oil, tumeric, and source cf vitamins. My food diet is very strict. Ive been eating a certain way for 3 years now. I did a lot of reasearch on foods and found out how gross it al really is. My diet is very natural....no soda, red meat, pork, mayo, butter, fried foods, candy, dairy products, fast food ect ect. I eat a lot of veggies, chicken, fish, olive oil, raw garlic, orange juice, soy cheese, whole wheat bread, brown rice, furit, tofu, rice milk, avocado. I know this heathy diet wont work for everyone but I personally feel great. There are healthy high in fat foods that cfs can put into their diets instead of high fat processed food such as.....olive oil, avocado, nuts, raw coco ( I buy the 85%coco dark chocolate bars) ect. Hope this helps</end quote></div>

I like running/jogging myself. But 1-when the weather is cold like this, I get sick; and 2-I'm scared of animals that I may cross, like snakes and frightening dogs!
Any advice?

I try to go running whaen it warms up around 10am. I live in CA so its harly ever cold but on the days it rains, I go to the gym. It took me awhile to find a path that I like so just keep searching. I started at first running 2 miles and now pushing it up to 3. I take the tumeric because it is good for your joints and imflamation.
