I just wanted to let everyone know that I finally found a life insurance company that will insure someone with CF. My husband and I have been looking for over a year and he was denied from every company including high risk companies. By chance I was talking with an independent insurance rep at work and she pointed me in the direction of United Home Life, I was able to get a 20 year term policy for him. For any of you who are having trouble finding life insurance, I would look into this company.

Do you mind giving a little more info? I have some health insurance that my parents got for me a long time ago but I'd like to get more. I'm guessing it isn't very cheap. Will it cover if he dies from complications of CF?

It will pay for a CF related death, but only after you've had the policy for two years. IF something should happen before then you do get your premiums back plus interest. We pay only $24 a month for it.

I contacted Benefit House Insurance services, which sells this company's products and there are a few health questions before they will issue a policy. I am not sure how you were issued a policy because one of the questions specifically asks whether you have been diagnosed with CF. It sounds too good to be true...

"Have you ever had a diagnosis or treatment by a physician or other practitioner for AIDS, AIDS Related Complex (ARC), test results indicating exposure to the AIDS virus, or been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or Dementia, Cirrhosis, Hemophilia, Cystic Fibrosis, Emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COLD) or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease ( COPD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Huntington's Chorea?"

thought we would have to purchase an expensive no-medical life insurance
policy, but didn't think it was worth it. Then we got free <a target="" title="" href="https://www.accuquote.com/life-insurance-quotes.cfm"><b style="">life insurance quotes</b></a> from AccuQuote.com and also talked with their
customer service - they were great. We found a high-risk life insurance company
that has a good financial rating - it was not cheap, but definitely reasonable.
