Hey Everyone

I have been getting really light headed and dizzy when i get up in the morning and now its when ever i bend over or play with my daughter. I dont see my cf doctor until Jan. Does this happen to anyone else?? Does this have something to do with low oxygen in my blood or not enough getting to my brain?? I also get it really bad if i do a lot of exercise it feels like my head is going to explode i literally feel my head throbbing. Do i need to ask my dr. for oxygen?? I hope not but if thats what i need to do i will!

any info would help

Hi Teri

I dont have cf, but I've learnted some things from the forums here...

What is your fev1? Is it low? If it is than it could well be related to your oxygen stats...do you also have a bad headache in the morning? It appears that is also a symptom...

Other then that, my guess would be that it could be related to low blood sugar?

Having said that, if you are well cf wise it could well be normal! I know I experience light headedness at times when I get up quickly or bend over (Note: did not mention exercise ahem <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ).

Teri,
Hi there-could it be related to medication you may be taking? Also, I sometimes have this problem when something is out in my back and/or neck. Just some ideas.

Teri,

Do you have a way of checking your blood pressure? I get the same head-exploding feeling when I bend over. It's bad enough that I would rather sit on the floor to find something in a lower kitchen cabinet than hunt for it with my head upside down. My BP is normally on the low side. However, when I took Mobic for several weeks it got worse. There is also a condition called orthostatic instability which causes this sensation. I hope you feel better soon!
