I got to speak with both Kurt and Cindy a few minutes ago. Lindsey is still doing great! She had a bronch this morning and her lungs look fantastic. The surgeon came by and emphasized that it was important to get up and moving. Lindsey marched in place at the side of the bed earlier, and they will get her up and walk out of the room this afternoon. Her sugars are still good, and she'll possibly be back on insulin pump this afternoon. She's on a full liquid diet, and has had some ice cream. Last night the swan-gantz catheter (in her neck) came out. Pain in her shoulders has been an issue - the epidural goes to about mid-chest, so they are giving her additional pain meds for this. They are working on getting her a PCA (patient controlled analgesia) pump. She is just waiting on a room to move out to the regular floor. Cindy told Lindsey about all the messages you have been leaving for her. I know she's got some surprises coming to her, too! Cindy and Kurt said their phones are ringing non-stop and that they had no idea just how many people cared about Lindsey. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> I can't wait until we get her back to making her own posts! In the mean time I am thrilled to be able to report such good news.
