bananas, saltine crackers, 7up which is what we kids got as children.

DH's were cinnamon bread with milk and flat soda.

For some reason really spicy mexican food tastes oh so much better for alcohol induced illness.
DS always wants orange soda. It's what he got once when he threw up and it's always what he requests when his stomach is upset.

I don't think cfers ever want just saltines and bananas when they are sick. I still eat regular food just smaller amounts. I also tend toward spicy when sick my two favs when sick are tom ka kai soup (thai) and a green jello recipe with pineapple and 4% milk cottage cheese mixed into it. It's great for a snack or a small meal!

Thank you, Carly! This made me feel better. For some reason, being sick makes me only want to eat more and more and more. . .

Since I am on the other side of the weight battle from most CFers, it would be nice to have no appetite when sick. Unfortunately, it's very rare for me!

I drink ginger ale (canada dry with real ginger) all of the time! When I am sick though I crave really specific foods.

Subways sweet onion chicken terriyaki or a Subway tuna sub

I also like pizza with extra salt...lol...I think I just want the salt! I also go through times when I get Pretzel bites (sour dough, utz) and dip them in table salt. Everyone says it's gross, but when I don't feel well I want salt and chicken or tuna.

Popcorn
Fruit (because it goes down easier than some foods and still gives some nutritional value)
Sour Patch Watermelons
Def Tea with honey
Mashed potatoes (from a box, with garlic/butter)

Stonyfield Yogurt smoothies (mostly bc the probiotics help me avoid yeast from antibiotics, plus they go down easy!)
Triscuits!!!!
Ramen noodles or salty chicken-y soup
Egg noodles with butter and salt
Oatmeal
Tea
Hot water, lemon and a tsp of honey (works at night as good as cough syrup)
Soda
Jello
Cereal
Tons of lemons, garlic, carrots apples and berries which I throw into a juicer and drink all day. Even my picky daughter likes it, minus the garlic. It really does work.

For my daughter I always run out and get my arsenal:Jello, Pudding, the most sugary/junky yogurt (like Trix brand), Campbells chicken and stars soup, and Hi-C. Yes, its all junk. But when she gets sick she does not want to eat or drink, period. And we've had a few ER runs bc of dehydration. No fun. So now I let her eat/drink the crap stuff for a couple days until its passed.

Ice cream has been and will continue to be my go to food when I don't feel well. Any stomach issue or nausea I have Ice cream takes it away every time. If it is a head cold I want chicken noodle soup, hot chocolate and grilled cheese and bananas/oranges.
