This may sound lame, but have you tried deep breathing? I know, I know, you're thinking "deep breathing, HA!" but sometimes it helps get things moving. Try taking in as deep of a breath as you can, hold it for as long as you can, then let it out slowly...let all the air out. It might make you feel light-headed at first and if it does, don't hold it in for so long. It usually only takes me doing this a couple of times to get a really good cough - and by that I mean, very productive.

The other thing I suggest is meditation - again, sounds lame, but if you really sit and focus your mind on healing it can really make a difference. As I breathe in I think about feeling the healthy air fill all the tiny airways in my lungs - I envision this happening - and as I breathe out I think of and envision all my healthy cells coming together and kicking the butt of the bad bugs that are in there, lol. I do this while using the vest too - thinking of shaking loose all the plugs and junk that's just stuck in my airways - breathe in, my lungs are filling with healthy air. Breathe out - all that stuck mucous is shaking loose and moving out!

Okay okay, enough pseudo-psycho, hippie, power-of-the-mind stuff - but I swear it works!! Hope you feel better and get outta there soon! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, nothing has worked. I had a plug last week and it took me 6 days to move it out. I guess I need to drink more water. I want my doctor! He would know what to do. Again thanks for the advise.
