I am from Canada and I am not sure if Farmers Milkshakes are available elsewhere but they are awesome, the dont have as much calories as scandieshakes, Farmers only have 380 calories (I think) but they have much the same texture as milk, they aren't thick or gross. They come in vanilla, strawberry, or chocholate. They are delicious and when I had weight-gaining problems I drank about 5-6 a day and it worked wonders ...haha now that I am older I am trying to lose weight!! I also ate lots of cheese which is high in fat but not unhealthy, um chicken fingers were also a huge favorite but too much fried foods probably wasn't good for me but it worked too! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif" border="0">
Good Luck!

You guys are all so awsome, I have been looking for ways to help Kaylee gain weight--she only gained 1/2 lb at last cf visit (which is every three months), so the drs are concerned. I thank you for your advice.

It's going to sound really weird but it worked for me when i was little, i really liked to eat salad and veggies and hated cakes and cookies etc. but the thing that my mom finally figured out for me was skip breakfast, i know it sounds so ridiculous but it works, just give them bigger lunches and bigger dinners. It's the reason why so many people are .. well flat out... fat, you skip breakfast your body's metabolisim (sp) slows down and goes into "starvation mode" as long as the other meals are big the extra calories and fat will stay instead of being burned off... i mean it worked with me also because i hated eating breakfast, it was a constant struggle to get me to eat... it might not work if he loves breakfast he may not appreciate you taking it away.. but that's what worked with me.. within about 6 months i gained like 20 pounds .. my mom just gave me a bigger lunch and i ate when i was at home.

What do you want to know? Its available over the counter no need for a prescription. I have drank it, but for me it has to be very cold or you can definitely taste the "formula" taste to it. It comes in a variety of flavors, but like many shakes its pricey.
