Lately, I seem to contiously loose my voice and I am not even on tobi which is when it normally happens. I have been on IV antibiotics for 4 1/2 weeks. Could this be the reason I have no voice? Or is it all the coughing from the extra airway clearance? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this. I don't have a soar throat just no voice.

I get the loss of voice when I have some build up of sputum in my throat. I dont have to have a sore throat tho. Usually its when I am extra congested or just wake up & things seemed to have worked their way up.

Right now I have a hoarse voice (repair man yesterday asked if I was "stuffed up" lol- he said he had a sinus infection last week- yeaaaaa....) and have been fighting a sinus infection for a couple of weeks and started back on my 7% HTS this week. My allergist said my throat looked irritated last week- really? lol I've noticed that I seem to get hoarse more often since startinng the HTS, but I don't know if it is the HTS itself, or all the coughing, or both.

I have noticed this summer that every weekend, i seem to lose my voice. I am guessing it is because when i go to a car show they have music playing and you have to talk a bit louder than normal. I find it odd because i also usually only lose my voice when i am on Tobi, but i havent been on that in almost a year. I have been doing shows for 7 years and this is the first year i have this problem. I am guessing it is from all the years of coughing that is damaging my vocal cords, and the extra strain of yelling just makes it worse <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">
