Have you gotten any answers?? Hope you're feeling alright and things have stabalized for you.

.... I noticed upon second reading that your FEV1 went down from what they were when you went in (something I asked about in my reply... duh... sorry 'bout that). I think this would be something to discuss with your doc for sure just to rule things out.

Please let us know how you're doing.

I appreciate all the good thoughts. The mystery of the situation is that my lung function was higher before IVs. The doc doesn't have much imagination for things that don't fit the normal pattern of CF, though he is a good doc. My sputum production was down at the end of the IVs, a sign they worked. The sputum did test positive for fungus, but they my IGE was normal and that we wouldn't be treating it. The older I get the less I understand CF.

Thanks again to everyone. Your replies have given me something to think about.

my daughter's IGE showed normal too...but for her particular fungus (not aspergillus)...she still has to be treated...we saw a dramatic improvement within a week...this may not be the case for you at all... but just keep that pesky fungus on your radar...good luck....
