I know the other thread was closed; but I wanted to discuss some of the odd things that you can be denied transplant for.
It alarmed me to read the part about narcotic use that nick9742 posted. I have a CF related arthritis that once in a while flares up, and makes my entire body so painful... it hurts to swallow, breathe, much less walk. When its this bad, I take percacet to make it through the day. It isn't often or anything, and I don't need a transplant tomorrow, but maybe I should talk to someone about this? It concerns me that I might unknowingly be denying myself transplant. And, since that's the only thing I've found really helps the pain at that point, not taking it concerns me too!! Anyone know more about this? Or know of other unexpected criteria??
Thanks!!,
Kris
