That is such great and wonderful news!!!! I am so happy that she is doing so well. She is such a sweet person. I love hearing good outcome transplant stories.. I have a few friends who have had transplant and are doing really, really well.

I am praying for Marie to keep getting stronger every day and I look forward to the day when she posts on here herself.

Go Marie....

Love

I would think it depends on the tolerance. CFers tend to have high tolerances of pain......

For some strange reason, the pain we have after transplant is localized to one small area. It is odd to think that after they cut open your chest there is little pain. I believe one reason is for the injections that they give you before the actual cutting (that can last for a long time). I awoke when they were giving me the injections into the chest. It was a very cool experience.

I am so happy to hear this great news about Marie.

When i came home from the hospital this afternoon, i spoke to Marie again. She could speak much more clearly now, which is nice when speaking on the phone hehe. She is still doing ok. Though she has a hard time sleeping, she gets something for that (i think) but that's not really helping. She still has no pain. When i talked to her she coughed a few times and i asked if that hurt. It didn't but she said it was quit hard to get stuff up still. The physio comes by to help her but that doesn't really work yet. I told her that will probably get better soon

She said she wants to see an ice hockey game feb. 28 and i said i would cross my fingers for her so she could be there 3 weeks to go, a lot can happen in 3 weeks

Marie is still doing well

Though she can't get much sleep. The day before yesterday she had lots of pain in the morning. Turned out her epidural with pain meds had gotten out, and they didn't know at first. They put in another and she's out of pain again.
She lost a few iv's again today and is only on one now, she was very happy with that! She still has her chest tubes.
Her bloodsugar is high now, all over the place. It's sometimes over 30.. So she hopes to get that under control soon. I think that's because of the Pred.

Marie sents all her love from Sweden to everyone on the boards!
